The MPRP is\u00a0an approximately 70-mile-long high-voltage electricity transmission proposal awarded to developer PSEG by PJM, the regional grid operator.\u00a0The Piedmont line is part of a package of transmission projects (called the \u201cWindow 3\u201d projects) that the regional transmission operator, PJM Interconnection, LLC, determined are needed to address transmission system reliability needs.
